The Best BOB Stroller Reviews of 2023

After a long week of searching through the best BOB strollers, we found our top four. We utilized some help from parent reviews and expert advice to ensure we got the best.

BOB Revolution Flex 3.0

Best BOB Stroller for Infants

If you’re hoping to stay active after the baby is born, BOB Revolution Flex is an excellent pick. It is compatible with BOB or Britax Infant Car Seats, and with most other major brands (using a compatible adapter) to make a complete travel system package.

The stroller gives a smooth ride, even over curbs or an uneven trail, thanks to the mountain bike-inspired suspension. Air-filled tires enforce the power of the suspension, leveling out the surface you’re traveling on.

Your baby will stay safe due to Britax’s exclusive safety technology. It keeps your little one secure both in your vehicle and in the stroller.

What We Like

No Bumpy Rides

BOB is famous for its mountain bike-inspired suspension. Many parents praise how smooth the ride is and how easy it is to push, even across rough terrain. Air-filled tires are especially helpful when going over curbs and sidewalks.

Newborn-Friendly

BOB Revolution Flex will keep your little one safe during your daily walks or weekly hikes. It includes many of Britax’s safety technologies, providing protection well beyond the federal standards. The integrated LATCH system enables you to tighten the seat, keeping it secure quickly.

The car seat is for babies weighing between 4 and 35 pounds. Once your baby outgrows it, you can continue using the stroller up to 75 pounds.

Ventilated Canopy

To keep your baby comfortable during warm days, the car seat includes a ventilated canopy. It extends over the top, and together with the visor on the buggy, it creates an enclosed space. This provides full protection for your little one from the elements while still being comfy.

Versatile Stroller

The Revolution Flex is the single version of the Duallie. It’s intended for busy parents who require a flexible stroller they can use for a variety of occasions.

The travel system is ideal to choose if you have a newborn. However, it is also available as a single stroller.

It’s incredibly durable, made from aluminum alloy. The front wheel is adjustable, enabling the stroller to work well on the trail or in a crowded park.

What We Don't Like

Storage Basket Is Small

Considering how large the stroller is, some moms think the storage basket is too small. You can’t fit a large diaper bag, let alone other necessary items.

BOB Alterrain Pro Jogging Stroller

Best BOB Stroller for Jogging

The BOB Alterrain Pro is built for high-speeds and uneven terrain. It’s for the hardcore runner, ready to get back on the track as soon as possible, post-baby. As opposed to other BOB strollers, which can also be used as a standard buggy, this one is specifically designed for jogging.

BOB suited it with reflective rims and trim, fixed onto lightweight wheelbases. This combo allows the buggy to fly over the track.

It’s equipped with a handbrake. Since this gear is quite heavy, it’s a useful safety feature.

Any active parent will appreciate the adjustable handlebar. The seat is in an upright position, so your little one can enjoy the ride as you jog along the trail. Moreover, it has a magnetic peak and chat window.

What We Like

Great Safety Features

BOB made the Alterrain Pro a perfect jogging buddy with your child around. Moreover, BOB also equipped the buggy with an extensive UPF 50 sun canopy. It comes with a peek window with a magnetic cover.

The ride will be super smooth for your little one, who won’t feel any bumps due to its SmoothShox Suspension System. On the handle, BOB included a handbrake to ensure the stroller doesn’t roll away.

Adjustable Handlebar

The handlebar offers you various settings to suit your needs. It’s fairly easy to adjust, and you can do it while walking.

Excellent Seat

This is not a stroller for sleeping in — it’s made for active parents and babies. The compression seat remains in an upright position, but it’s padded with breathable material, so your little one can stay cool.

What We Don't Like

Not for Everyday Chores

The Alterrain Pro isn’t meant for everyday use, solely for jogging. The front-wheel remains fixed, meaning it doesn’t turn as smoothly as other buggies.

BOB Rambler Jogging Stroller

Best BOB Stroller for Travel

BOB’s Rambler is excellent for everyday activities such as trips to the market, going for a light jog, or a family outing. It’s a compact, featherweight version of other BOB strollers, weighing approximately 25 pounds, which, compared to others, is relatively light.

The frame is incredibly sturdy and can carry a weight up to 75 pounds. It’s straightforward to fold and it will fit in the trunk of most vehicles.

The Rambler genuinely makes an outing with the family much more manageable. The front wheel is adjustable, meaning you can lock and unlock the swivel function as needed.

It’s fitted with all the best BOB has to offer such as superior suspension, large canopy, breathable material, and a robust chassis. And, you can choose between two colors — black and lagoon.

What We Like

Great for On-The-Go Parents

The Rambler is excellent for commuting parents. It weighs approximately 25 pounds, the lightest of all BOB strollers on today’s list. Folding it is straightforward — it’s a two-step process, and the wheels are removable if you need it to fit in a small space.

Excellent Maneuverability

Thanks to the swivel function on the front wheel, the Rambler turns on a dime. Its air-filled, polymer tires run smoothly across various surfaces. The superior mountain bike-inspired suspension evens out any bumps in the road.

Large Onboard Basket

Underneath the stroller sits an oversized storage basket where you can place all your necessities. It allows easy access from all sides and it’s elevated, so it doesn’t get too dirty.

What We Don't Like

Doesn’t Stand When Folded

The stroller is easy to fold and will fit into many places. However, it doesn’t stand independently when folded and falls over pretty quickly if not held on to.

Small Storage

The onboard storage is quite a let-down — it’s significantly smaller than other BOB strollers. Some reviewers said there wasn’t even enough space for a diaper bag. This means you’ll have to find alternative ways to carry all your extra gear.

Many parents praise the maneuverability of the Duallie 3.0. Upon activating the swivel function, it can handle sharp corners and obstacles. When in locked mode, it provides you with the stability needed for higher speeds.

Lots of Storage

We truly appreciate how much storage there is. You get an oversized basket under the seat. Then there are ten extra pockets located around the stroller for all your essentials and valuables.

What We Don't Like

Pretty Bulky

What Is BOB?

BOB was created by Roger Malinowski and Phillip Novotny, who met in 1994 (1). Malinowski was a bicycle industry expert, and Novotny was an airline mechanic.

When they first met, Novotny was producing and selling a modified cruiser bike, which he called the YAK. Malinowski quickly recognized an opportunity to create a booming business from Novotny’s product. Together they came up with the YAK trailer — changing forever how bikes carry gear.

Initially, they came up with the name “Beast of Burden,” however, the name wasn’t the great success they had hoped for. They renamed it BOB — a simple, fun acronym that got people’s attention.

It wasn’t until Malinowski and Novotny had started families that their idea for a jogging stroller came to life. Their first example was the BOB Sport Utility Stroller. It included all BOB’s patented features like superior suspension, polymer wheels, and an easy-to-fold frame.

To ensure the stroller could withstand the rough nature of kids, they sought help from their children. By letting them flip, push, and jump on the buggy, they knew it was durable.

It was a success among consumers, who quickly requested another one, designed for twins. Thus, the Duallie was born in 2001. The company continued coming up with innovative ideas, and in 2005, it created a swiveling front wheel to enhance turning.

BOB Today

BOB has been in business for nearly two decades and is still producing jogging strollers, fit for parents with varying lifestyles. Although it’s not the same owners — in 2011, a British juvenile products company named Britax acquired BOB.

Britax has been in the industry since 1939. So by combining its experience with BOB’s innovations, it’s become a giant enterprise in today’s market.

The BOB branch continues its commitment to providing families with high-quality strollers. It’s determined to help parents lead an active lifestyle by giving them the opportunity of taking even the newest family member with them.

BOB Strollers Parent Reviews

BOB is doing well among consumers. With mostly positive ratings, parents praise how sturdy the strollers are and how great they are when running.

Non-running parents also praise the strollers for the swivel function of the wheels. They’re excellent for bringing with you when on errands or even going to the mall. Many applaud how effortless turning and steering is.

Britax has had its share of bad press, One of its strollers sold before 2015, featuring a detachable wheel, made headlines because the front wheel would sometimes spontaneously fall off, potentially injuring the runner and passenger (2).

Britax made improvements on all models sold after 2015. Since then, there haven’t been any reported injuries.

Customer service receives mixed reviews online. Some parents say their experience was terrific — quick responses and helpful service. Others, however, report it as useless, stating that they received no response.

It’s compatible with BOB single jogging strollers as well as Revolution FLEX. It attaches around the stroller using elastic, making it easy to put on and remove.
  • Britax and BOB Car Seat Adapter: To transform your single BOB stroller into a travel system, you can use the car seat adapter. It’s compatible with any BOB or Britax car seat. However, it’s only for use on single strollers, and you shouldn’t run with the car seat attached.
